Office Hours

Monday - Thursday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Select Fridays by appointment.

Our first appointment is seen at 8:00am and last appointment is seen at 4:00pm. We are closed daily from 12:30pm - 1:30pm.

Appointments & Cancellations

As a busy office with a high demand for appointments, we take appointments very seriously. Your appointment time has been reserved specifically for you.

New patients who fail to keep their first appointment will not be permitted to reschedule.

Our established patients are allowed 2 reschedules per year, after which future appointments will not be accepted. If you must reschedule, we require at least 24 hours notice. However, please note that you may not be guaranteed another appointment for 1-2 months.

Obtaining X-Rays & Records From Another Office

X-rays are required by our team to diagnose treatment properly. If you had x-rays taken at another office 6-12 months prior to your appointment with us, we ask that you obtain them. Transferring these records will avoid additional x-ray charges that your insurance will not cover.

Please note that our office does not call other offices for your records and prior x-rays, as they often require patients to verify the request with a signature, personal phone call or payment of a balance. While a patient's records are their legal right, an office may legally charge a nominal fee for x-rays and other patient records if they choose.

If your x-rays are being sent to us from an office that takes digital x-rays, please have them sent to NorthGroveDental@aol.com with your name in the subject line.

Insurance

We realize that our patients make considerable investments into their dental insurance plans and we are committed to maximizing their benefits so that they are used to the patient's advantage.

Before any basic or major treatment is performed, we will provide you with a treatment plan, which will estimate how much your insurance will pay and the amount you will personally be responsible for paying. Although we estimate your insurance benefits, we are not responsible for their accuracy. Knowledge of benefits, as well as benefit amounts, limitations, exclusions, waiting periods, deductibles, etc. is entirely your responsibility. Your insurance policy is a contract between you and your insurance company. North Grove Dental is not a third party to that contract, as we file insurance as a courtesy to patients. Our relationship is with you, not with your insurance company.

Fees for non-covered services, along with deductibles and co-payments, are due on the day of your appointment / treatment.

In the weeks following your appointment, you may receive a statement from your insurance company showing what they agree and disagree to pay. All services not paid by your insurance company are your responsibility. Receiving our services indicates your acceptance of responsibility to pay the full amount regardless of what your insurance agrees or disagrees to pay.

If you should have any questions regarding insurance, please contact your insurance company or a member of our team. We will be more than glad to assist you!

Emergencies

If you have an emergency and need to reach someone after office hours, please dial (864) 216-1337. Someone will gladly return your call. *Please note: While we welcome emergencies to call or visit during standard business hours, emergencies called in after business hours must have a valid patient medical history on file in our database. It is also our policy to refrain from administering pain medication to patients who have not had recent appointments in our office.

Inclement Weather

In the event of snow or other inclement weather, our office staff will contact you about your appointment. If you do not receive a call from our office staff, please stay tuned to your local news channel as we usually post our opening/closing status there. After the office is open, one of our office staff members will contact you.

Thank You For Your Understanding and Cooperation!
